BrightSteps International School

BrightSteps International School (BIS) is a growing English-medium international school in Grand-Bassam, Côte d'Ivoire. We are committed to providing a nurturing and academically challenging environment where children develop confidence, curiosity, and a genuine love of learning. Our mission is to prepare students to become compassionate, responsible, and internationally minded citizens. Our academic program is based on the U.S. Common Core State Standards and is delivered through an inquiry-based approach that encourages students to ask questions, think critically, and make meaningful connections across subjects. English is the language of instruction, with French taught daily to help students thrive in both local and international settings. Our small class sizes allow teachers to know every learner well and tailor instruction to individual needs. Students benefit from a balanced education that includes specialist lessons in Art, Music, Physical Education, Swimming, and French, along with opportunities to learn through play, exploration, and real-world experiences in a supportive school community.
